Company History
In 1988 I made a set of building blocks for our son who had just started preschool. I soon started making other items for the school our son attended. In 1992 I designed a multipurpose play table and started manufacturing them in my garage. I soon moved into a large warehouse and started a full scale production.
The tables provided lots of fun for kids and adults as well. Hence the name, "Funblock Tables". In the early 90's Funblock Tables were sold in over 400 specialty toy stores throughout the United States and Canada. Within a few years there were many copies of our tables on the market that were much cheaper and soon after sales dwindled. We saw that more children were using computers in preschool and designed one of the first computer desks for preschool age kids. We became proficient in panel processing and well known in the toy business. We were commissioned by Playmobil Toy Company to design and manufacture a display/play table for their trains. We also designed and manufactured play tables and displays for Brio Toys, Darda, Safari Ltd. and T.C Timber. As Funblock grew, we added more and more sophisticated equipment.
